BioStrat in Advanced Procedures
Management & Prevention
Not only are some of the BioStrat formulations used in 'priming' the skin before certain cosmetic procedures - they are also applied afterwards.  Regarding the injuries shown below, the primary objective concerning this subject was to prevent infection and post-traumatic pigmented scar formations.

Topical Preparations: 1/Aug/01 to 5/Sept/01:
BioStrat Formula Code 109 - Colourless Liquid
BioStrat Formula Code 112 - Colourless Gel
BioStrat Formula Code 108 - Colourless Gel
BioStrat Formula Code 110 - Colourless Oil
Method of Treatment:
Initial Onset:  Within five minutes of onset, to deter inflammation and infection, BioStrat Formula 109 was administered to each abrasion and to the tissues surrounding both the left and right patella.
Subject's Response:  The subject voiced an immediate reduction in pain.  Ice packs were then applied; however, the pressure from these packs apparently contributed to further discomfort, hence, they were removed and BioStrat Formula 109 was applied a second time to each wound.
Clinical Observations:  Two hours later, it was noted that a vessel on the left patella had risen by approximately one quarter of an inch.  BioStrat Formula 112 was applied to this swollen intact vessel. Within five minutes, seeming normal again, the edema was suppressed. In conjunction, erythema appeared minimal.
Maintenance: Between 1/Aug/01 to 5/Sept/01, the subject received frequent applications of BioStrat Formula 109 and BioStrat Formula 112.  In addition, BioStrat Formula 108 was introduced, which was used as a washing preparation in place of bar soap.  After the risk for infection passed, with the scabs fully healed, BioStrat Formula 110 was then introduced and applied at random by the subject who seemed unconcerned about acquiring post-traumatic scar formations.
Remarks:  According to the subject, the only preparations applied to the wounds involved the described BioStrat Formulations, hence, no mainstream over-the-counter topical antibiotic preparation was applied between August 1, 2000 - May 19, 2001. Potential complications arising from infection were successfully prevented, which was of particular interest since no bandages had been applied, other than on August 2, 2000, where 4 x 4 sterile cotton gauze dressings covered the abrasions over a four hour period while the subject conducted daily business.
In reference to managing local discomfort, the subject claimed relief whenever BioStrat Formula 109 was administered.  Showing a reluctance towards taking drugs, no prescribed antibiotics or analgesics were consumed other than two aspirin which the subject agreed to take once, at approximately 10:00 a.m. on August 2, 2000.
As depicted in the May 19, 2001 untouched photograph, no significant disrupted pigmentation typically associated with post-traumatic scarring is evident.
BioStrat Preparations in Aesthetic Procedures:
BioStrat Formula 109 / Post Mist:  Is shown to aid in the prevention of infection and alleviate discomfort, while also minimizing minor irritation associated with certain wounds, alpha hydroxy peels, micro-dermabrasion, electrolysis and cosmetic laser hair removal.
BioStrat Formula 112 / LYCD Stress Recovery: Is shown to reduce inflammation marked by edema and erythema,  indicating its use as an anti-inflammatory.  Although not listed in this section, this formula is reported to enhance the skin's ability to receive more oxygen while encouraging the production of collagen, thus, could benefit both dry and acne skin types while reducing some of the blotching associated with Rosacea. In professional applications, it is primarily applied to the epidermis during and after certain cosmetic procedures.
BioStrat Formula 108 / Prep Wash: Contains a clinically tested bacteria inhibitor (also present in the BioStrat Formula 109), along with water-soluble conditioning and anti-inflammatory agents.  In professional applications, when used as a skin prepping solution, it is deemed a facilitator, improving the delivery of certain agents in other compatible preparations.  Likewise, the presence of Triclosan increases its role in managing, and possibly preventing, certain bacterial infections, hence, it is also used when washing the hands before administering a cosmetic peel.
BioStrat Formula 110 / RMS Scar & Wrinkle Complex: Is reported to contain a clinically tested substance that includes EFA's, citric acid and Trans-Retinoic acid, which appears to aid in the prevention and the reduction of responsive dyschromia and post-traumatic, healed, scar formations.  Serving as a lubricant, it aids in the prevention of TEWL (trans-epidermal moisture loss), thus, helps to manage flaking associated with most resurfacing applications.
